Does it work in hydroponic systems though?
It certainly seems to kill off my tastebuds.
Mind you, grapefruit oil from the skin is an extraoridinarily powerful
irritant and I suspect it too may have insect-repelling properties. I
had a most unfortunate incident while attempting to eat grapefruit in
the bath, which is not suitable for general discussion...

YOu mean hurt roots? prolly notMight have an serious effect on
microbial balance
in N cycle w/ aquaponic sys's tho....
if not dosed properly. Check links for dosage( i know it's lowfor
algaecide application)

Bill,
What promisedo u see w/ hydroponice/ ? Or rather what deficiencies do
you see w/ conventional mushroom production that can be solved
/mitigated/ improved w/ hydroponics?
You cant do away w/ the compost... need a substrate for the myceliato
grow into....
Maybe aS SIMPLEas cutting back on the amount of bedding/ compost,
changing the compositon somewhat and supplementing.. w/ your hydro
mix... beneficial to mycelia and all their frineds of course.....
why not a permanent matrix????somewhat permanent......If that would
work would be a real cost savings .. as now much heavy equipment/
shipping needed to handlle large volumes of the compost.

Dear Gentlepersons,
\\\I do not have the details at this time as I receive the
list in digest mode, but Bill Evans has indicated to me he
missent a confidential email to the Aquaponics Group Membership,
instead of me.I have received notice from alarmed group
members who understand the ramifications. If so, I remind you,
though I am sure most of you are aware, in addition to
copyright he holds over the material and content which he
originated and I what I originated, if there be any involved
and which is likely, including intellectual property rights,
a mail delivered to an unintended recipient must, upon
discovery, be returned unopened and unread insofar as
possible, and the contents may not be disclosed or used
in any fashion.Whereas this holds true for electronic
mail also now, there seems to exist an unwarrented
situation of returning in excess of a hundred emails,
and I as intended recipient authorize you individually

I am sorry for the inadvertant sending and the burden
it causes in any and every way.///End///

discuss the subject off list under the proviso of
nonuse/nondisclosure unless and if other agreement
is reached.Thank you.Bill OOWON@Netscape.net

Subject: SSI Notice: Expert Scientists Speak Out =
******************* SSI NOTICE *******************
This notice is to inform you of a remarkable open letter
published recently by the heads of the UK and US national
weather services. In this letter, the two climatologists
confirm the seriousness of human-induced climatic change
and warn against complacency and the dangers of "doing
nothing" about climatic change.
The letter is dated December 22, 1999 and was published
originally on December 30, 1999 in a large British
newspaper -- The Independent -- but received very little
news coverage in the United States. UCS has learned that
the letter was initiated in response to a December 16
article in USA Today. This article dismissed the
seriousness of climate change and tried to undermine the
scientific credibility of a world map depicting early
warning signs of climate change that was recently published
by UCS and several other environmental organizations. (See
SSI Notice of 11/19/99. Also, check out the web site at:
.)
*SSI / Union of Concerned Scientists (apply for membership
OR as a supporter) is active in political circles. This
may affect you regarding evironmental laws and regs
if not environmentally soon.Tell me if this is too
OfffTopic... considering the recnet uh, discussions.
At least the link might be of interest.
