Sorry to come so late into the discussion. We don't "add" earthworm
castings, but do have earthworms (and their castings) present in our system.
I don't believe we've seen any negative reactions from their presence, and
would theorize that they are serving as an intermediate breakdown of a
portion of the fish waste solids. Given their normal presence in an outdoor
pond-side situation, I don't see that they would ever be a problem for fish
needs.

I am also late in responding to this topic, But I do have something to add
concerning recipes. Although the information is not ready yet, the
information that Raul is gleening from his books for the handbooks on
Biodigestion and organic hydroponics, once complete, will give useful
information for producing and using the liquid biofertilizer about which so
many of you have asked.
As Doug pekenpaugh has alluded to in his comment about small scale
experimentation, many systems have been suggested. They have worked (or not
worked) to varying degrees. I am confident that the systems Raul has
developed will be proven effective, But, please be patient as we get the
information ready. Even when he is done, it will take some time to insure
that the English version is accurate.
