Are the earthworms in a gravel substrate? Have you any idea of population numbers?
Do they undergo periodic flooding, or is there an area where they can stay above the
waterline?

Is there a reason why the solids that are taken
off the bottom of the fish tank couldn't go to the
worm beds?, Or is there a reason why people don't
use the bottom slurry to water/fertilize orchard
crops? (I am thinking of small scale farming).
Let me get to the point. How bad does fish poop
smell?

Yes! Or mix the fish manure with leaves or another
carbon bulking material for composting.

Hope you don't mind but does anyone know what has happened to the hydrolist?

Hi William,
When HSA took over they totally botched the mailing list. They have
recently changed servers and it is up and running again. Try
hydrolist-on@hydroponics.org to see if this works. For the Digest
version go to hydrolist-digest@hydroponics.org. As a result of the
mess-up volume is less than half what it used to be but it is starting
to build up again.
