Phil - are you interested in general information on Tilapia? The American
Tilapia Association has a web site at http://ag.arizona.edu/azaqua/ata.html
with lots of information and links to more.
Are you considering a pond set-up for Tilapia in your current location? I'd
welcome others comments about the feasibility of growing in ponds in what's
probably a short-summer region.
Our system is all under roof, with the fish in tanks and grow beds providing
the biofiltration. Are you considering an inside set-up for year-round
production?
Your proximity to New York City should provide a wonderful market for
tilapia. I know livehaulers are bringing fish in weekly from Mississippi to
NYC, and I'm certain the retailers/restaurants would prefer to have a
"local" supplier.
