Tom--
the issue of plastic is simply a question of which plastic you use--my own
reccomendation is to stay away from PVC and/or PVC-based polymers and stay
with either the polyethylene family (I've used HDPE (high density
polyethylene) liners to great satisfaction and have heard good reports on
low-density PE as well). I'm guessing that polypropylene liners would also
do fine--I do suggest making certain the liner is UV stabilised even for an
"indoor" installation.

LDPE liners are easier to work with but prone to develop holes. Jim R.

Thanks Sam for your sage advice, also I was wondering if anyone knew whether
catfish and telepia can live together, if that would be good. Do they all
have to be males?
The more I learn, the more I need to know,
