I have server space available and would be happy to host the FAQ's (as
long as they are mostly text only and organized into pages 100K or
less). I am not able to edit the FAQ sheet at this time (I am building
a house and trying to get the roof on before winter sets in).
It is not necessary to know HTML to edit the FAQ's, If someone has time
and wants to do this, and can put together something in MS Word, I can
turn it into HTML.

Netscape down for mail maintenance.
FYI: I elected to wait, & take this in digetst form, for many reasons.
**Follows, are my comments.
---------
>From: Bill
>I liked your attitude Jim.
Being new, I had to be sure to not cause a community problem
** Except for one hydroponics complsint, I think only I raised a
questioning flag. I'm new. I asked, to be sure. Respected veteran Jim
answered, NO CENSURE. Steve suggested, it would be great to have a FAQ.
Adriana said, do it.
>Bill, we all agree be great to have archives, FAQ's and data bases for
all aspects of aquaponics.
**This is echoed.
----------
>implies finding a web-server to load them onto. Bill, are you game?
Adriana
** Some news, see end of post.
----------
>so I'm open-minded, & I willingly served to protect your right to have
'Dancing Fish,' but 'Dancing Fish'? Maybe I'm not your man. LOL
**Ted, found "FISH" for you. Will advise. (Was just joshin', before.)
-----------
>Subject: So long and thanks for...
>have noted concern bandwidth and not be raising these subjects again.
>some way to discuss all aspects of aquaponics - without using
completely seperate lists.
will continue to absorb the excellent info by everyone here - unless I
have something more mainstream to say. :) Barry
** "Mainstream," !!LOL I love dry (Oh, Sorry,) humor!!!
-----------
>From: steve spring
See Bill, I told you...great forum. who can challenge your intellect.
SS
** Intellect?? LOLOL, Never thought nor felt so, tho' certain tests say
so, I dispute them. Was lucky to be raised by folks who knew HOW to think.
-----------
>From: Dave Miller
Didn't several offers come to do the archiving, offer the bandwidth and
so on?
What came of it? Dave
** Am curious, too.
**I've found good stuff. That doesn't mean you'll have a FAQ in a week
or two. I would like to say it were the case. Folks see me paint,
whatever, are 1/2 done & claim I haven't started. Then they are 9/10ths,
I'm done, superior preping, better job all around. I study, ask, think,
ponder, prep, recheck, try, adjust, perform. Or similar, depending.
Not everyone cares about end product as much as I. I am tedious, for many.
Guy at Dartmouth wrote a Faq-O-Matic program. It's <1Meg, & requires a
little support software, free & common to the task I discover. His sites,
w/data are 18 & 20 Meg. OK, but pushing it. Let's EACH guy, modify at
leisure, his FAQ inputted, and add at will. Nice feature. ALSO: If I goof,
Ron can add info.
OK on a good site like this. He runs both his on a 50 Meg block &
repkied in a couple hours to a query. HP uses it, and many others, read
testimonials.
Looked for larger hosts. Found even 100 Meg free, but need to test for
responce, or it will be a good FAQ, but hard to access.
Another looks good... Newsgroup? Unlimited. Nice and clean. Ohio
State dropped their great looking FAQ, & gave it to "Internet-FAQ-Consortium."
Same bunch, might belong to Acme, of my area. They have a possible book
offer pending, we can opt in or out.
"Aquaponics" is not on their site yet.
(Intro to www.37.com. Search "FAQ." Once there at Int. FAQ.
Cons., Ted, search, "Fish.")
We could be THE Aquaponics site, & published.
"Aquaponics" per internet concern, is taken, probably for sale...
Aquaponix.net or .org, is available. Can be reserved for us, if someone
doesn't read this and atke it! It would be found with most search
engines, for Aquaponics.
I suggest we would (if they are selected) enter in the SCI area, of the
main 8, such as literature, et. al. The company there, is delightful as
this group. We would probaly update this FAQ each week to each month.
It is a superior site, as far as data w/o glitz, but features, is concerned.
Built in features of database, search engine, clean setup. Just a little
learning curve.
WOULD you want all posts archived? Or tutorials also? Also they have
no Hydroponics section yet. It might be the co-list/area we desire.
Energy, returns nuclear, no Solar so we could sction taht,
AND link where appropriate, back to the Aquaponix/cs, to tie them
together, where it applied!!!
I think I start Cisco school in late Jan. Let me know.
In the Immortal words of Jonny Five, "Input!... MOOORRRE Inpuuuutt!"
Respectfully,
Bill

DID I say no banner?
And the usenet folks indicate a "tree" use of related items is great.
