A couple of excellant resources I've used over the years are The Blue
Telephone 'Business Directory.' It was free, now ~ $25.
Only for business, but I ask who is the distributor in my area?
Much much better is a 4' stack of books, also on the net or CD,
Thomas Register of American Manufacturers.
Half of you probably know it.
Cover pumps, everything. Probably the 'rubber'(s) also, which sounds
like shower pan sub-material, used before mastic and tile are lain.
Claimed 1
5 yr
minimum life I think I recall. $$! Probably higher quality than for
roofing, & never large or free. BUT whoever males that, probably makes the other
too.
Ask what companies they sell the most to. Ask those companies, what are
ya tearin' down or roofing this week/month?
Tedious. Used to last resorts... elusive leads.

After seeing the footage of the hurricane damage out on the Virgin
Islands I got concerned about our friends and their fishies sitting
out on those rocks. Well, guys? How did it go?

Thank you for your concern. We did all right. The eye of the storm
passed St. Croix about 25 miles to the south. That reduced the winds
from 150 mph to about 100 mph with some gusts probably up to 125 mph
in some locations.
Generally the power poles did not blow down and we had power at work
within 2 days although most of the island is still without power.
The backup generator ran throughout the storm and there was no major
damage or fish loss at our facility. We didn't even lose the polystyrene
sheets, which were weighted down with concrete blocks. However, the
lettuce was shredded.
This is our 4th hurricane in 10 years. Prior to this period, there were
no hurricanes in St. Croix for 61 years. Does this suggest something
is changing? About 50 pleasure boats were destroyed. A 1500-lb buoy
wound up in the middle of a street. Jim R.

Ditto that. Glad you folks made it through O.K. Jim.
Just one request....send some of that moisture our way!....the Republic of
Texas is in dire need of rainfall...might happen next week...but I've heard
that before....let us pray.
