Wanted to give you an update on the status of the archived files. So far,
all of the 1999 digests have been posted. They are available for viewing
by date at http://www.i55mall.com/aquaponics/
After we have time to get all the files up (through winter 1997), we'll add
search features, etc. to make them more easily usable.
Wishing you the best for the new year!!

Aqua-friends:
Does anyone know how to control army worms in organic strawberries?
[natural predators, or which BT is most effective?]
Which sprays could be used to kill them without harming other natural
predators like spider mites?
Thanks for your help,
Alon Zimmerman

Alon,
I've always had good results with Dipel brand of Bacillus thuringensis
(BT) for caterpillars of any flavor. Doesn't seem to afffect the fish (I
ran some toxicity tests with it) or anything else, and BT appears to be
quite safe for people to be around. A possible alternative for outdoor
growing may be to put up something to attract more birds to the area.
Shalom,
