I don't see any problem reading through my copy received by Eudora. Is there a difference with AOL? Getting text only, I don't see a background. If you can explain, I'll ask our ISP about it. Am I correct Paula? Yes, it can be used to adjust pH; the question. as Emmett pointed out is whether by "organic" you mena "for organic certification". > >>Can anyone tell me weather or not Potassium Hydroxide ( the solution that > >>increases pH ) , can be used in hydro-organic farming ? | Message 4 Subject: Re: More On Humic Acids From: "Adriana Gutierrez" Date: Tue, 8 May 2001 07:25:10 -0500 Steve, Do they make any big greenhouses, or just hobby sized? By big I mean at least 30' x 96'. Adriana > Before I forget, the address of the company is: dgiworld 'at' transport.com One > person that you can talk to is Wendy Smith. I purchased 10 panes of insulated glass (sliding patio doors) for $3 to $5 each. These are going into the south wall of a green house I'm constructing over the summer. Much more durable than poly, and better insulating value to boot. Roy >Wow. I kept hearing about the prices for greenhouses, that's why I built = >my own. Mine is 14X12X48 and total cost for lumber, cement, PVC, poly, = >etc. was $417.27 not counting the $35.00 rental for the auger (I got tired = >of digging holes). | Message 6 Subject: a couple questions From: "Devon Williams" Date: Tue, 08 May 2001 14:59:52 -0400 Hi all. I have a couple questions. 1. I've read that Tilapia coloration will change when they reach sexual maturity. Can anyone tell me how it changes? I've heard that they will tend to get a reddening around the gills and belly. Is this correct? I have a few fish placed in a basic aquarium (so that my students can get a good look at the Tilapia), and one of them is gettting this red showing up. It is very faint, but not so faint that it is unnoticeable. There is also some reddening of the tail fin. This is very general across the entire fin. These four little guys all behave very normally, so I am not suspecting disease. Any input would be appreciated. 2. Having read many of the posts about the stirling engine, I began thinking about an issue I am going to have here at my school. Since I work in a HUGE school system (over 110,000 students), much of the control of climate control systems has been centralized. This means that my air conditioning in my room will either be shut off completely, or turned way up. I am planning to install a fan to help keep water temperature down, but I'm sure this will not suffice. I don't currently have the funding to build a cooling system such as the "dorm-room refrigerator" system, so I was contemplating freezing milk jugs of water, and floating one in the tank. I know it is crude, but it is all I can really think of .Your thoughts would be warmly accepted! Thanks! I assume they don't ever turn power off to the building You can buy a used one for $100. > climate control systems has been centralized. Do you know?
